Do I need to be in shape to start Jiu-Jitsu?

Nope. You get in shape by training. We scale the pace to your level.

Is Jiu-Jitsu safe?

It’s a contact sport, but we emphasize control, tapping early, and taking care of training partners.

What should I wear to my first class?

Comfortable athletic clothes with no zippers or metal. We’ll help with a loaner gi if needed.

Do I need any experience or martial arts background?

Not at all. Most of our students started with zero experience. Beginners are our specialty.

How often should I train each week?

Two to three classes per week is ideal for progress, recovery, and building a solid habit.

Will I have to spar (roll) on my first day?

No. We’ll focus on basics, movement, and drilling first. Sparring comes when you’re comfortable.

Is Jiu-Jitsu good for self-defense?

Yes. It focuses on leverage, control, and submissions—especially useful against bigger, stronger opponents.

Do you offer classes for kids?

Yes. We have structured kids classes focused on confidence, respect, discipline, and bully-proof skills.
